Where SIPPS Began....
SIPPS was founded by husband-and-wife team Harriett and James Butterworth, from Cheshire, England, from a wonderfully simple idea: a great cup of tea should still taste like a great cup of tea, wherever life takes you.
The inspiration for the Original SIPPS Travel Tea Cup came one morning in the office, when Harriett wanted a proper English Breakfast tea but couldn’t find a travel cup that offered the familiar experience of drinking from fine bone china.
A trained primary school teacher, busy mum of three and lifelong lover of a great British cuppa, Harriett wanted to take that same flavour and ritual into the realities of modern life the school run, the work commute, meetings and everything in between.
Tradition Meets Modern Life....
Together, Harriett and James set out to create a travel cup that combines centuries of fine bone china tradition with the practicality of today: no plastic touching your drink, no unwanted plastic taste, and a material chosen to let the flavour of the tea take centre stage.
Made to Last, Designed for Life
In a world increasingly conscious of what we consume, how products are made and the impact they leave behind, SIPPS is designed around longevity, considered materials and a centuries-old ceramic craft using fine bone china. And because beautiful traditions still need to work for busy lives, the cup has been designed with everyday practicality in mind including dishwasher-safe convenience.
A better way to take tea with you, without leaving the ritual behind.
